BeamAI.chat is an independent, free chat site built for Beam, the open-weight language model from Reflection AI. We are not affiliated with Reflection AI.

Beam was announced on October 5, 2026. Its API is in a waitlisted beta and its weights have been promised for later in October. Until Beam can be served publicly, the chat runs Inkling, an open-weight model by Thinking Machines Lab, and says so above every conversation.

We chose Inkling because it is the closest match available today: a large Mixture-of-Experts model from a US lab, released under the same Apache 2.0 license Reflection has promised for Beam.
